Technical Reports in the Information System: Changes in 4.0A
Description
The following changes have been made to the information system as of Release 4.0A:
New Individual Overviews
- Sales and distribution document
- Sales and distribution document item
Data Selection
The following have been added to the general selection criteria:
- Capital investment program
- Activity
- Material
Structure Reports
Report Format
- For each field, you can specify scaling and the number of decimal places. To do this, choose Choose fields.
- For each field, you can choose Settings -> Column header to specify whether the units appear in the column header or behind the amount.
- Date and time specifications are displayed to the maximum extent possible.
List Format
- You can format the list per grouping, sorting, and the summarization hierarchy. The individual records are accorded priority as follows:
- Priority 1: Group criteria
- Priority 2: Summarization criteria
- Priority 3: Sort criteria
- For each criterion, you can specify sorting in either ascending or descending order.
Unit Conversion
You can specify an output unit for each dimension. Where the unit used is different, the amounts are converted as appropriate.
Changes in Handling
- The procedure for background processing when you access reports has been simplified.
- There is a field selection window for choosing columns and criteria. You can now specify the output format and sorting directly.
- In exceptions, all objects meeting the criteria are highlighted.
- Previously, the system highlighted the objects which did not meet the exception criteria. Filters now ensure that the system only displays the objects which do meet the criteria.
- Filters and exceptions appear in the page header.
- You can use the Pickup function to access other functions at various places. For example, you can use Pickup on a user criterion to access the selection window Change user filters.
- The user filter, user exception, and sort/group/summarization criteria fields have been made cursor-sensitive. This means that a function is executed according to the column or criterion wher the cursor is currently positioned. If the cursor is not in the columns or criteria, the system displays a selection window.
- It is now possible to use Pickup in the header to change the width and order of columns.
Miscellaneous
- Workforce Planning has been integrated into the period drilldown
- You can evaluate orders which do not reference projects.
- This applies to the following orders:
- CO orders in order category 1
- CO production orders in order category 4
- QM orders in order category 6
- PP orders in order category 10
- Network orders in order category 20
- Maintenance orders in order category 30
- Process orders in order category 40
