Resource-Related Quotation Based on the Work Breakdown Structire (WBS)
Description
From Release 4.5A, you can use project cost planning as the basis for a resource-related quotation in response to a customer inquiry.
First, all the costs for a project-assigned quotation item are collected and listed in the relevant WBS elements in line with the settings in the dynamic item processor. You can edit this list manually. You can include items in full or in part, or can declare them irrelevant. When you have finished editing the list, you call up the sales price calculation. The calculation is performed using the condition processor from Sales and Distribution (SD). The calculation uses the conditions and prices stored in SD.
You can change the prices calculated automatically and then use the list and sales prices to produce a quotation.
The often very complex cost structure of the project is transferred to a simpler structure which acts as the basis for the quotation.
Effects on Customizing
You make the necessary settings for the resource-related quotation in the Revenues and Earnings section of the Project System IMG.
Changes to the Interface
To access the resource-related quotation, you go to the project planning menu and choose Project -> Create quotation.
Planning
As of Release 4.5A, only CO version 0 is used to calculate the sales price. We plan to enable the use of other versions in future releases. You will then be able to produce different versions in the planning board and compare them with each other.
