Description

The following changes and additional features in networks have been included in Release 4.5A

New Design of the Network Header Using Tab Pages

The fields from the header supplement have been included in the header. The header has been structured using tab pages.

The function "Supplement" is no longer in the menu Details -> Network header. You access the network header fields including those that were previously in the supplement by choosing Details-> Network header -> General.

Flexible Activity Detail Screens

You can now define your own view of the activity details data. For more deatilled information, refer to Flexible Detail Screens

New and Changed Fields

• New field Planned cost calculation in network header ("Control" tab page)
  

The key in this field determines whether and when the planned costs are calculated during saving. For instance you can specify that these costs are not automatically calculated, although the network or the activty has the status "Released".

You can set a default for this field in Customizing for networks by choosing Specify paramters for network type.

The "Planned cost calculation" field replaces the "Cost automatically" indicator in previous releases.

• Object currency field changed in activties ("Assignments" tab page)
  

The object currency can now be changed in the activity detail screen, if different currencies are not permissible in the company code and the controlling area.

• Business process field in internally processed activities
  

You enter activities for a business process in internally processed activities. The Business process field is avaialble for entry, if you enter a work center for the activitity that has not yet been assigned to a business process.

Archiving Delivery Information

Delivery information and assignments of deleivery information to WBS elements, activities and material components are now also archived when you archive operative work breakdown structures and networks.

Cost Element for Services

The cost element for services in external activities is no longer determined by the cost element of the activity. You can now enter other cost elements in the service specifications.

If you enter data for services, the MM account determination is used to determine the corresponding cost element. If no cost element has been entered or determined, the cost element from the network profile is used.

External activities and subordinate planned services, which were created in a previous release, retain their original cost element.

Reservation/Purchase Requisition Indicator

The Changes to the Reservation/Purchase Requisition Indicator enable you to postpone purchase requisitions from being creted and reservations being planned in a MRP run after an activity or network has been released.
