Changes in Reciprocal Cover Eligibility

Scope of Functions

Starting with this release, you can no longer define grouping characteristics using the menu but must do this in the Customizing of Funds Management Government. See the Funds Management Government implementation guide, section Define Grouping Characteristics for more information.

The transaction for the processing of cover pools (FM71) has been revised. Starting with this release, you can create cover pools and also assign the expenditures FM account assignments to the cover pool in this transaction.

When creating a cover pool you can state whether the FM account assignments to the cover pool are only to be assigned for the payment budget and/or also for the commitment budget. This setting is a default value that can be changed in the assignment.

You can create a long text having 3*50 characters per cover pool.

Until now you could define that an FM account assignment could temporarily not take part in cover eligibity using the indicator Inactive. You can no longer use this indicator beginning with this release. Starting with this release you can, however, exclude a complete cover pool from "automated" cover eligibility by assigning the "Manual cover pool" budget memo to it. The cover pool can still be managed using the budget transfer "Transfer with budget memo cover eligibility", but does not take part in the automated procedure.

Starting with this release, you can use authorization object F_FICA_CVP to control the authorizations for different activites in connection with cover pools. See the Documentation on Authorization Objects for more information.

If you want to use budget memo "Manual cover pool", you must create corresponding budget memos in the Customizing of Funds Management Government. See the Funds Management Government implementation guide, section Create Budget Memos for more information on creating budget memos
