New functions for the IS-PS Dunning Program Enhancement

Scope of Functions

Rounding of dunning charges and dunning interest calculations

In the calculation of dunning charges and dunning interest for public law dunning procedures, upon entry it was previously rounded down for entry of a rounding unit. You can now make separate settings for the dunning interest or dunning charge calculation as to whether it should be rounded up or down for each for each dunning procedure having additional data for public law dunning procedures.

Until now, the base amount as well as the dunning charge were rounded in the dunning charge calculation. Starting with this release, you have two different rounding units available allowing to round the base amount and the dunning charge differently.

Due date of dunning interests

Until now, the the issue date was set as the due date in the calculation of dunning interests. Starting with this release, you can choose between the following due dates for each dunning procedure:

  • Issue date of the dunning notice
  • Due date of the source document
  • Next working day after the due date of the source document

Dunning levels of dunning charges and dunning interests

Until now, dunning charges and dunning interests were always posted with dunning level 0. Starting with this release, the dunning level for the dunning interest is transferred from the source document. The dunning level for the dunning charges is transferred from the current dunning form.

Interest calculation block

Starting with this release, you can set an interest calculation block (field ZINKZ) during the posting of dunning charges and dunning interests. During the next dunning run no interest amount will be calculated for this flagged document. In doing so, dunning charges and dunning interests are excluded from a repeated interest calculation. Prerequisite for this is that the revenue types used for the posting of dunning charges and dunning interests are additional revenue types. On the other hand, you must set the Interest calculation block for receivables for the company code variants in the customizing of Funds Management Government.

Summary of documents for interest calcualtion in public law dunning procedures

Starting with this release, callup point "00103005" has been introduced for the calculation of dunning interest in public law dunning procedures (Business Transaction Event) in which you can define your own coding in order to make a special summary of documents. In the standard, documents referring to one another are summarized. You can define another process here should you want to have another rule for grouping.

Effects on Customizing

Rounding in dunning charge calculation

If you do not need different rounding units for the base amount and the dunning charge - that is you would like to retain the functionality you had to date - you must also transfer the value of the past Rounding unit to the new field Rounding unit of base amount.

If you want differing rounding units, you must fill in both rounding units accordingly.

Interest calculation block

Attention: In Releases 4.02B and 4.02C, the setting of the interest calculation block was already performed, but no corresponding customizing entry existed. If you want to retain the functionality Interest calculation block for dunning interests and charges, you must adjust the customizing of the Company code variants affected. In addition, the revenue type used for the posting of dunning charges and dunning interests must be flagged as additional revenue types in "Define Revenue Type"
