Scope of Functions
Activity-Related Activating of Budget Versions
Attention: This function was already delivered to the customer group German local authorities in Release 4.01A.
Alternatively to existing year-independent budget version blocks, a detailed activation procedure for budget versions is provided in component Funds Management Government: The year-dependent activation of budget versions.
You make the settings as to which activation procedure is to be used in an FM area in the Customizing of Funds Management Government, section Set Activation Procedures for Budget Versions.
If you use the new year-dependent procedure for activation of budget versions, the blocked entries from the old year-independent budget version blocks are no longer considered and further budget version blocks are no longer possible.
If you use the year-dependent activation of budget versions in an FM area, you can assign allowed budgeting activities to combinations of FM area, fund, fiscal year and budget version in the Customizing of component Funds Management Germany, section Activate Activity-Related Budget Versions. You can also implement this activation of budgeting in an operative system. In this case, this must be done via the Funds Management menu under Environment -> Current Settings -> Activate Activity-Related Budget Versions.
Create budget versions included in current settings
The menu point 'Create budget versions' in the Funds Management men has been included in the current settings. It is therefore possible to create budget versions in a production client.
