Editing Master Data Groups (New)
Use
Starting from this release, you can summarize Funds Management master data in groups (sets). You can also create a hierarchy of groups.
When editing groups, you can use these new transactions:
- Create/change/display commitment item group
- Create/change/display funds center group
- Create/change/display fund group
- Create/change/display functional area group
US Federal Government customers who have configured the system for Fund Accounting can use these groups to select reports in all report writers, that are based on FI-SL data. For more information on Fund Accounting, see the release note on Fund Accounting Enhancements in Support of GASB Statement Numbers 34 & 35.
You can use fund groups and functional area groups for making selections in Controlling transactions and in the Reporting of Controlling. Selections using groups are not supported in Funds Management itself.

In the Standard System, changes to master data group are not logged in change documents. However, in the Customizing of Funds Management Government, you can determine that changes to specific master data groups be logged in change documents. To do this, choose Master Data -> Activate Change Documents for Master Data Groups.
