Improved Manual Payment Planning

Scope of Functions

Manual payment planning has been extensively improved and integrated with the planning processor concept, resulting in the following new features:

Interface

• You can choose from a number of standard layouts to determine how your payment planning screen will look.

• You can also shape the layout of your payment plan to suit your requirements.

• The new payment plan supports two views:

• Period view

• Annual view
  
  

The system distributes the annual values to the individual periods per a distribution key.

Functions

• You can maintain payment plans for:

• Individual WBS elements

• A range of WBS elements

• A WBS element group (Set)

• You can plan in controlling area currency, object currency, or transaction currency. The currency translation takes place as of the value date maintained in the plan version (CO).

• You can plan in different currencies by object and commitment item.

• You can plan by year or period. The system converts the data for the other planning view.

• Planned payments are now written as both totals records and to line items. This means that manual payment planning is included in the planned interest calculation according to the following conditions:

• If the actual line item update for payments is active, the line items are included in the interest calculation.

• If the actual line item update for payments is not active, the totals records are included in the interest calculation.
