Data and Process Models for Personnel Time Management

Description

In Release 4.5A, there is a new data model and a new process model for Personnel Time Managment.

The models contribute greatly to the transparency of the component, and considerably improve the quality of the formalized and structured display of the business-related contents. They document the relationship between the business objects and business processes.

The data model for Personnel Time Managment uses an architecture based on business processes to describe the information objects contained in the component and their meaning, their structure and their relationships to one another. It classifies the information objects semantically.
The data modeler is the tool used in the R/3 System to navigate in the data model. It also ensures the integration of the data model with the application system and the technical process.

The process model documents the business processes relevant to Personnel Time Management on a business level.

The new models will be enhanced in the following aspects of Personnel Time Management in future releases:

• Interfaces to other R/3 components and to external products

• Shift Planning

• Incentive Wages
