Customizable Automatic Proposal Determination

Scope of Functions

You can now customize or set parameters for the Determine Assignment Proposal function. This feature enables you to automatically schedule available employees to cover existing staffing requirements.

This function allows you to define a scheduling strategy, which is used over several runs to find a suitable assignment for a staffing requirement and the available employees. Each step in the selection process can be defined with individual selection criteria.

You can set Priorities for the automatic proposal determination of employees and requirements. This enables you to control which employee should be scheduled for each requirement. The priorities feature is controlled by priority modules, which you can edit or add to in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Shift Planning.

There are 3 priority modules in the standard SAP system, which compare the qualitative suitability, employment level, and length of service of employees. In this way, all automatic proposal determination runs can be set with different priority modules.

Effects on Customizing

The default standard strategy in the SAP system is SAP_1.

You can adjust this automatic proposal determination to meet your own requirements.
