Legal Changes as of January 1, 2002 - Payroll Austria

Use

This release note provides an overview of all Payroll Austria components that were adjusted in the standard SAP system to reflect the year-end legal changes for 2001/2002.
If you are required to implement changes, these are outlined in the related SAP Notes or release information for the specific change.

  • Euro
    All changes resulting from the introduction of the euro are documented in SAP Note HR-AT: Update for Switchover to EURO (385699) and in the related SAP Notes listed in this SAP Note.
  • Social Insurance
    As of January 1, 2002, the following new values apply to minimum and maximum contribution bases in social insurance for Austria:
    - Daily MCB for regular payments:     ,,109.00 euro,,
    - Monthly MCB for regular payments:   ,,3,270.00 euro,,
    - Annual MCB for special payments:    ,,6,540.00 euro,,
    - Daily MCB for freelance employees:  ,,127.17 euro,,
    The changes have been included in the relevant HR Support Package (depending on the Release) and do not require adjustments.
