Short text
PY- Great Britain: Predetermination PAYE and NIC Adjustments
Use
In case of any discrepancy between the actual amount of tax or NIC and the amount that the system calculates, now you can record the difference. The system adjusts the same during payroll run. To do this, following objects are created in the system:
- Predetermination PAYE and NIC Adjustment infotype (0874)
- Here, you record the adjustment amount. Separate text boxes are also provided for you to enter the reason for adjustment. This record can be further used for audit purposes.
- You must manually calculate the difference amount and record the same. You can record the adjustments for:
- Tax paid in Tax Adjustment Amountfield.
- Employee NIC in EE NIC Adj. Amount field.
- Employer NIC in ER NIC Adj. Amountfield.
- Predetermination TAX & NIC Adjustment payroll function
- This payroll function adjusts the amounts and stores them in the relevant wage type or table.
- Wage types
- Tax Adjustment wage type (/5TA)
- EE NIC Adjustment wage type (/3N1)
- ER NIC Adjustment wage type (/3N2)
Note:
If the adjustment amount you enter in Predetermination PAYE and NIC Adjustmentinfotype (0874) causes the total tax paid or NIC to become negative, the Predetermination TAX & NIC Adjustmentpayroll function (P0874) does not perform the adjustments.
