Payroll India SP27 - New and Changed Functionalities

Use

Form 16

  • Business Add-In (BAdI)
You have a new BAdI, HR_IN_TAX_EMPLOYER, to capture the tax on non-monetary perquisites, if the employer pays this tax on behalf of the employee. This tax amount is printed on Form 16 under the newly introduced point 16b (Tax paid by the employer on non-monetary perquisites u/s 192(1A) on perquisites u/s 17(2)).
  • Form No. 12BA
The layout of this form has been modified as per the legal requirements.
For further details, refer to Note 609605.

Medical Perquisite reporting in Form 24 and Form 16

  • Form 24
Earlier, you could print the amount for medical perquisite only under column 9 of Form 24. Now, you can configure the system to print the amount for medical perquisite under column 10 instead of under column 9.
  • Form 16
Earlier, you could print the amount for medical perquisite in Form 16 as follows:
  • In the main form as a part of the amount in point 1a.

  • In the Annexure to Form No. 16 under the Emoluments Paid component.

Now, you can configure the system to print the amount for medical perquisite in Form 16 as follows:
  • In the main form as a part of the amount in point 1b.

  • In the Annexure to Form No. 16 under the Perks component.

  • In Form No. 12BA against Other benefits or amenities.

Form 16

  • Business Add-In (BAdI)
You can implement the BAdI, HR_IN_TAX_EMPLOYER, through the IMG under Payroll India -> Tax -> BAdI: Tax on Non Monetary Perk Paid by Employer for Form 16 Reporting.

Medical Perquisite reporting in Form 24 and Form 16

  • Form 24
To print the amount for medical perquisite under column 10 instead of under column 9:
  • Remove the Evaluation Class 5 Specification 01 setting for the Medical amount Wage Type (customer equivalent wage type of model wage type M211).

  • Remove the Evaluation Class 5 Specification 02 setting for the Exm.under pro.to sec17(2) Wage Type (/414).

  • Set the Evaluation Class 9 Specification 16 for the Incremental Medical perk Wage Type (/3M3).

  • Form 16
To modify the printing of medical perquisite amount on Form 16 as mentioned in the Scope of Functions section above:
  • Remove the Evaluation Class 6 Specification 10 setting for the Medical amount Wage Type (customer equivalent wage type of model wage type M211).

  • Remove the Evaluation Class 6 Specification 21 setting for the Exm.under pro.to sec17(2) Wage Type (/414).

  • Set the Evaluation Class 9 Specification 16 for the Incremental Medical perk Wage Type (/3M3).
