Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension Human Capital Management, Enhancement Package 4 (EA -HR 604),the business function HCM Localization Topics for Japan (HCM_LOC_CI_03) is available. With this business function, you can use the functionalities of flexible payroll, Retirement Benefit System and Rehiring following Retirement to meet the requirements for Japanese market.

Flexible Payroll enables the Japanese companies to process the weekly payroll, biweekly payroll and semimonthly payroll besides monthly payroll to meet the increasing flexibility requirements of the labor market in Japan.

Retirement Benefit System supplies you with a complete solution to manage the retirement benefit plans in your company. This solution supports the corporate pension plans, the prepaid retirement allowance plans and the retirement benefit point plans. Retirement Benefit System enables you to check participant eligibilities, to calculate and collect the contributions, and to pay out retirement benefits during standard payroll function. You can also generate data files with the relevant information, then transfer to the external management institutions.

Rehiring following Retirement enables Japanese companies to process the business case that employees re-enter the company on the date after they leave the company, and retain the same personnel number.
