PY-ZA: New and Changed Functionalities

Use

  • Foreign Income
  • Grossup Calculation

Foreign Income

Now, during the Foreign Income tenure the system processes the payroll for an employee. You must enter the required information in Foreign Income SA infotype (0725) for each period. The system reads this information to process the payroll.

Payroll is processed during the Foreign Income tenure to calculate the employee's contribution towards Social Insurance on a monthly basis. When you run the payroll, the payroll driver calculates the amount to be deducted.

Note

  • Since the Time Constraintfor Foreign Income SAinfotype (0725) is such that any number of valid records can exist at any one time (Time Constraint 3), you must delimit the previous records manually before creating the new record.
  • You must maintain different records for regular income and lump sum amounts received by the employee.
  • Only the amounts received by the employee in the foreign country must be entered in Foreign Income SAinfotype (0725). You must enter the amounts received by the employee in South Africa, even if it is in the foreign Income tenure, in the Basic Pay infotype (008).

When you execute the payroll, the Process Further Earnings subschema (WAP0) calls the Foreign Incomes South Africa payroll function (P0725). This payroll function:

  1. Reads the values in the Foreign Income SA infotype (0725).
  2. Converts the values to its equivalent in South African Currency (ZAR).
  3. Stores the converted values in the following wt in the Internal table (IT):
  • Earnings Outside SA wage type (/363)

  • EE SI Cont. Outside SA wage type (/364)

The payroll driver processes this information in the IT to calculate the net income of the employee.

Grossup Calculation

Now, it is possible to include any additional customer specific processing in the grossup calculation. To enable the customers to include any additional deductions in the grossup calculation, a new South African Grossup sub schema (WGRS) is provided.
