QM: Calculated Characteristics

Description

As of Release 3.0, you have the option of automatically calculating the measured values of a characteristic from the specifications and results of other characteristics.

You store the formula used for this in the plan characteristic. In this formula, you can use all standard mathematical functions and the following operands:

• numeric constants

• the specifications and results of other characteristics in the same operation

• external function modules

The formula is evaluated during results recording when the characteristic is valuated. If the values of other characteristics are used in the formula, these characteristics must be valuated first before the formula can be calculated.
