QM: Early Goods Receipt Inspection for Production Order/Process Order
Description
When a production order or process order is released, the system can create an early inspection lot (inspection lot origin 04) for the order. The system creates this inspection lot regardless of whether an inspection lot (with inspection lot origin 03) exists for the corresponding order.
The creation of an early inspection lot for a goods receipt is controlled by the QM inspection data in the material master. The indicator for controlling the creation of inspection lots has an additional setting that applies to the inspection types assigned to inspection lot origin 04.
The early inspection lot for a goods receipt provides a new means of combining inspection lots; the system creates an inspection lot per combination of order, batch, and storage location.
The batch number is copied into the inspection lot in one of the following ways:
- The production order contains the batch information when the inspection lot is created. This information is then copied into the early inspection lot
- The batch is specified in the first goods receipt for the production order. The batch information is then copied from the material document into the inspection lot
With this first goods receipt, the inspection lot becomes stock relevant. You can use it to manage stocks.
You can process an early inspection with the inspection specifications contained in an inspection plan.
