AUTO_GEN_CI_1: 8D Report Automotive (new)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension PLM (EA-PLM), Enhancement Package 2, Business Function Generic Automotive Innovations (AUTO_GEN_CI_1), there are new, automotive-specific functions available for the 8D report in the quality notification environment.

In the Automotive environment, correction tasks are usually triggered for causes and not for defects. You can now therefore store the corresponding defect cause at item level in the detailed data for the correction task. The system proposes the causes for the selected item here. There are also fields available for the effect of the cause (Effect in % and Effect Text).

In addition, you can define how much a cause is involved in a defect in the detailed data for the cause (Involvement % field).

You can use the new action Create 8D Report Automotive to send an 8D report to different partner roles. This action uses the new PDF form QM_QN8D_REP_AUTO. You use the code group to specify which data populates the PDF form.

To be able to use this function, you must activate the AUTO_GEN_CI_1 business function. You must also store the QM process 001 in the appropriate notification type and implement the BAdI BADI_IQS0_SUBSCREEN_ADDON.

In the IMG activity Assign Code Groups to Disciplines, you must assign code groups to the disciplines of the 8D report. By doing so, you specify which quality notification data you want the system to use in the PDF form QM_QN8D_REP_AUTO.
