OPS_QM_EXTENSIONS: Exponential Display in Results Recording (New)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension PLM, Enhancement Package 3 (EA-PLM 603), Business Function Quality Management Extensions (OPS_QM_EXTENSIONS), new functions are provided for results recording.

To make results recording easier for the quality inspector, inspection operations can be displayed analog to the result value, using an exponential display. This information is shown on the screen and enables the quality inspector to compare the results and the specifications directly.

The specifications in the results recording are adjusted to the same format as the results, irrespective of the actual number format used:

• If the specifications and the result differ significantly in size, there may be rounding differences during conversion.

• If the specifications and the result differ too greatly in size, the character string **** is returned in place of the converted inspection specification.

Effects on Existing Data

The specifications are not saved with the exponential display. This means that existing data is not adjusted.
