Task Management (Enhanced)

Use

As of Product and REACH Compliance 2.0, task management has been simplified so that task execution takes place in one step. The task execute functions have been modified and the Customizing settings have been extended.

In earlier releases, a task could be executed by defining a task category execute function only. Task category execute functions are no longer supported. An execute function is now assigned to the task message of the task category. For more information, see Customizing for Product and REACH Compliance under Task Management -> Specify Task Categories and Tasks -> Task Category -> Assign Task Messages to Task Categories.

The execute icon in the Task Managementtransaction (/TDAG/CPT01) is only shown when the task can be executed. The following new prerequisites must be met:

  • The task message execute function is active in the system and fulfills the required interface of execute functions. Use function module /TDAG/CP_TR03_EXECUTE_TEMPLATE as a copy template for the interface reference.
  • A new Customizing activity is provided in Customizing for Product and REACH Compliance under Task Management -> Specify Task Categories and Tasks -> Task Category -> Assign Task Messages to Task Categories -> Specify Status for Task Message Execution. This Customizing activity is used to control the execution of task messages more precisely. Task message execution is allowed if no task status is given, or the current task status is configured to allow execution in this Customizing activity.

Effects on Customizing

The default settings for the e-mail configuration ID and task messages have changed. The e-mail configuration ID is changed from 01 to 11. Task messages /TDAG/CPM_CHECK 106 and /TDAG/CPM_CHECK 089 have been moved from task category IMP (data import) to SUP (supplier). If the default Customizing is not synchronized after an upgrade, these changes must be performed manually. For more information, see Specify Task Categories and Tasks.

The Customizing activity Specify Status for Task Message Execution under Product and REACH Compliance -> Task Management -> Specify Task Categories and Tasks -> Task Category -> Assign Task Messages to Task Categoriesis new and allows you to control the execution of task messages more precisely. The check function in some default task message execute functions in earlier releases has been removed.

The functionality of the task category execute functions is incorporated into the task message execute functions. You must extend all existing task message execute functions according to the new functions in the new default Customizing.

  • All default task category execute functions of the previous release are deleted:
  • /TDAG/CP_TR03_BOMBOS_PROCESS

  • /TDAG/CP_TR03_CUST_PROCESS

  • /TDAG/CP_TR03_CUST_PROCESS_SRC

  • /TDAG/CP_TR03_DATA_PROCESS

  • /TDAG/CP_TR03_EMAIL_PROCESS

  • /TDAG/CP_TR03_IMPORT_PROCESS

  • /TDAG/CP_TR03_IMPORT_PROC_SRC

  • Task message execute function /TDAG/CP_TR03_EXEC_RCH_HAZSUB was deleted
  • Task message execute function /TDAG/CP_TR03_EXEC_RCH_USE was revised and now incorporates coding from the former task category execute functions and task message execute functions.
  • The following task message execute functions are new and incorporate coding from the former task category execute functions:
  • /TDAG/CP_TR03_EXEC_IMP_LINK

  • /TDAG/CP_TR03_EXEC_IMPORT

  • /TDAG/CP_TR03_EXEC_RCH_SUB (derived from existing function module /TDAG/CP_TR03_EXEC_RCH_HAZSUB)
