POS Inbound Processing Engine (PIPE) (new)
Use
As of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI Content Add-On 3 SP06, the following new functions are available in SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (SAP NetWeaver BI) in the POS Inbound Processing Engine (PIPE):
- Aggregation tasks and outbound tasks:
- Aggregation tasks: Aggregation through formation and updating of aggregates.
- Outbound tasks: Sending the data of formed aggregates to follow-on systems.
Aggregation tasks and outbound tasks together comprise a two-step procedure in task processing. The two-step procedure represents an alternative to parts of the previous task processing that is currently described as a single-step procedure.
- Outbound processing using thePIPE Outbound dispatcher: You can process outbound tasks in the background.
- Newarchivingobject for archiving aggregates
- POSWorkbench: Enhanced to include a facility to display the processing status of aggregates.
- Master data check using check profiles: In addition to the classic method of carrying out master data checks, there is now an alternative, that is, a check using check profiles.
- Non-merchandise items as sales items: Support for sales-order-related payments in the PIPE.
- Enhancement of categorization of sales items in PIPECustomizing
