Offline Entry with MS Access and Interactive Excel

Use

  • In Interactive Excel, you can specify with which update mode the data from a data entry matrix is updated. In this way you can control which data records are inverted during the update.
  • Interactive Excel offers more support during creation of a data matrix. You can have a data matrix created by Interactive Excel, which reproduces a segment from the database with all required subassignments. You can also have this matrix completed with default rows. In this you can simply create a data entry form, as in online entry.
  • Interactive Excel is also available for Microsoft Excel 2000. When using Interactive Excel under Microsoft Excel 2000, you have (in addition to the functions which are available under Microsoft Excel 97) the possibility of creating pivot diagrams. Pivot diagrams enable you to search a data cube interactively (as known from pivot tables) and display it graphically.
  • Offline entry with MS Access is also now available for Microsoft Access 2000. When using offline entry under Microsoft Access 2000, you have (in addition to the functions which are available under Microsoft Access 97) the possibility of highlighting the totals items in the overview form in color. In this way you can make the form clearer.
