Display Service Parts Planning Application Log (Enhanced)

Use

New features are available for the PSM application log for Service Parts Planning (SPP) with SAP Note 1994781, which is included in the following support packages:

  • SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) 7.0, Support Package 16
  • SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP SCM, Support Package 13
  • SAP enhancement package 2 for SAP SCM, Support Package 13
  • SAP enhancement package 3 for SAP SCM, Support Package 5

The following new features are available:

  • Additional contextual information for messages generated in the SPP application log

The following information is now captured from SPP services by the application log and is displayed together with the messages on the Display logs screen of the Display PSM Application Log transaction:

  • Product number

  • Location

  • Virtual child location

  • Contract packager

  • BOD name

  • ATP category

  • Order number

  • Item number

The feature is supported for the following services:

  • Distribution requirements planning

  • Deployment

  • Stocking

  • Destocking

  • BOD realignment

  • Stocking realignment

  • EOQ/safety stock calculation

  • Inventory balancing

  • New selection fields in the Display PSM Application Log transaction

You can use new selection fields to restrict the number of messages displayed.

  • Only Selected Messages checkbox in the Display PSM Application Log transaction

You can use this checkbox to specify whether you want to display only the messages matching the additional selection criteria or all the logs that contain messages matching the additional selection criteria.
