Short text
Selecting a Pricing Type for New Pricing
Description
Previously, the 'new pricing' function always ran using pricing type 'B' for the whole document or an item. This resulted, for example, in the disappearance of manually entered conditions.
In many cases, you may only want to redetermine the taxes or the freight, or you may want to retain manually entered conditions. You can now take these considerations into account by controlling pricing via the pricing type.
Two new functions are available as of 4.5A:
- You can assign a pricing type for 'new pricing' to the pricing procedure. If you do not enter this default value, then 'B' is used as it was previously.
- The 'update prices' function is available in the condition screens at header and item level. It appears as a dialog box offering you a selection of pricing type. This selection is also possible for mass changes using transaction VA05.
To ensure upward compatibility
- You can still use this function in the menu without a dialog box by choosing Edit.
- The proposal from the pricing procedure then applies. If there is no default value, then pricing type 'B' is used.
- The old function code KONB is still available in the pricing screen and MPRF is still available in transaction VA05.
The functionality described is supported for sales and billing documents.
