Archiving of INTRASTAT/EXTRASTAT Data

Use

It is now possible for you to archive INTRASTAT and EXTRASTAT data in work lists VEIAV and VEXAV and then delete the data afterwards. For this purpose, you should use archive objects FT_VEIAV and FT_VEXAV. FT_VEIAV contains INTRASTAT declaration data and FT_VEXAV contains EXTRASTAT declaration data.

If necessary, you can also reload archived data back into the work lists. Although there is no standard requirement as to when you should perform this activity (such as archiving data once each month or quarter), we recommend that you archive the data in these work lists at least once each year.

Access to the Archiving Functions

You can access the archiving functions from the Cockpit for Periodic Declarations, or from the SAP main menu using the Foreign Trade (FT) transactions or the archive management transaction.

To go to the Cockpit for Periodic Declarations from the SAP standard menu, choose Materials Management (or Sales and Distribution) -> Foreign Trade/Customs-> Periodic Declarations → Cockpit.

To go to the FT transactions from the SAP standard menu, choose Materials Management (or Sales and Distribution) -> Foreign Trade/Customs-> Periodic Declarations -> Periodic Declarations-> Operational -> Archiving-> INTRASTAT or EXTRASTAT.

To go to the archive management transactions from the SAP main menu, choose Tools-> Administration -> Archiving.
