Changes to Printing Functions in Foreign Trade
Scope of Functions
Changing Form Data Prior to Printing
Beginning with Release 4.6A, it became possible for you to change data in customs declarations and other printable forms in the Foreign Trade (FT) application component. Until now, the information that you could change in these forms was restricted to specific fields.
This restriction has been removed. In Customizing, you can now define which information in FT output forms is important for your own business and should, therefore, be considered for changes prior to printing.
All form data is provided for your use in the SAP standard client 000. You can add to or reduce this form data as necessary for your business.
Printing Disk Labels
To support the exchange of data carriers, you can now print labels for 3.5 inch diskettes.
First choose "Create Periodic Declarations" from the Cockpit for Periodic Declarations. Start the file creation (or, if applicable, CUSDEC/INSTAT) program application (Step 2). The system displays a navigation tree on the left side of the screen and a document selection screen on the right. You can start the printing function by choosing "Diskette label" from the navigation tree.
Note: Label printing is only possible if you create a file.
Creating and Printing Cover Sheets
In addition to the disk label, you can print a cover sheet with the most important information about the customs declaration. The system creates the cover sheet in DIN A4 format (or letter format for AERP/SED declarations). Like the diskette label, you can create the cover sheet from the navigation tree. The print information is not restricted to any output medium (such as form, file/diskette).

Effects on Customizing
To define which form data should be changeable prior to print in Customizing, choose the step Form Data Controlunder Printing/Communication in Foreign Trade/Customs.
These fields are delivered in this release in client 000. When you work in another client, you need to copy them from Customizing in client 000 into your working client.
