Universal Foreign Trade / Customs Data Upload

Scope of Functions

The availability of current data is imperative for processing foreign trade activities correctly and in accordance with legal regulations. A new function, Universal Foreign Trade Upload, makes it possible for you to load data into your system for use in various aspects of foreign trade processing. The new function supports the upload of the following data for this release:

  • Basic foreign trade data (customs offices, procedures, commodity codes, customs duty rates, mode of transport, Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) numbers, etc.)
  • Data regarding legal control (ECCN or commerce control list, etc.)
  • Sanctioned Party List Screen (SLS) data
  • Import/Customs data

Not only is current data required to do foreign trade business, but a need also exists to transfer it to other systems within a company, process it, and then transfer it later to subsidiaries.

You can access these functions in the Foreign Trade Customs Data Cockpit. To go to the Data Service Cockpitfrom the SAP standard menu, choose Logistics → Materials Management (or Sales and Distribution) → Foreign Trade/Customs → Data service → Cockpit - Data Service. These functions are located in the Service Functionssection.
