One-Step Business in ERP E-Commerce (New)

Use

As of SAP E-Commerce for mySAP ERP 2005 you can carry out One-Step Business order processing. One-Step Business means that purchasing and sales can be carried out by customers and suppliers in a single step using the respective purchasing and sales systems. For example, you can use SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional (EBP) as the purchasing system and ERP E-Commerce as the sales system.

This means that a customer from SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional can access an ERP E-Commerce Web shop, create a shopping basket, and send the basket back to the SAP EBP system for workflow approval. The transfer between the two systems takes place via Open catalog Interface (OCI). The OCI, whose interface parameters are fully supported by ERP E-Commerce is available in SAP EBP, and it is used to transfer product data automatically from the sales system to the purchasing system.

Once approved the order can then be sent in hard copy format to the supplier.
