LOG_SD_SIMP_02: Improved Sales Order Processing (Enhanced)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enhancement Package 4 (SAP_APPL 604), Simplified Sales Processes in SD 02 business function (LOG_SD_SIMP_02), you can use additional functions for order processing in the ERP system.

Processing of predefined price elements in the item overview

For queries, quotations, and sales orders, you can edit the price elements that are frequently used for a document type (such as prices and discounts) directly on the Item Overview. This means that the additional step on the Conditions tab page is no longer necessary.

  • Settings in the Implementation Guide (IMG) mean that your sales representatives only see the predefined price elements on the item overview that they edit frequently for a document type.
  • You can also specify which data is displayed for a predefined price element, such as condition amount, condition currency, price unit, and condition unit of measure.
If there is a specific discount condition that your sales representatives often have to enter manually in quotations, for example, you can use a predefined price element.

Customer search with SAP search engine service

Your sales representatives can use an advanced search function (full text search) to enter the sold-to party when they create a sales document. Address data that is known for the customer (such as name, city, street) help the sales representative to find the required customer quickly or a customer list with the complete address data and search terms. You can double-click to copy a customer to the sales document.

  • The SAP search engine (TREX as the search engine service in the standard system) searches the indexed dataset for the business object Customer Master (KNA1).
  • You can activate the full text search for each sales document type in the Implementation Guide (IMG).

Displaying archived quotations

A high volume of data for sales documents requires early archiving of quotations. Since you still have electronic access to the archived quotations, you can control archiving without delay and carry out other electronic sales processes.

You can display archived quotations. The system first looks for the quotation in the database, and then in the archive. The processing steps are identical for the sales representative, regardless of the storage location of the sales document. Sales representatives see that they are processing an archived quotation in the message line and in the title of the transaction.
