LOG_SD_SIMP_01: Enhanced Customer Cockpit (enhanced)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, enhancement package 4, Business Function Sales & Distribution, Simplification 2 (LOG_SD_SIMP_02), you can benefit from several key enhancements to the Customer Cockpit application for use in the Internal Sales Representative (ISR) portal role:

  • An External Trigger Interface (ETI) now provides you with direct access to the Customer Cockpit application. The ETI only requires simple data from the ISR (for example, a customer number) in order to launch directly from the portal role to the Customer Cockpit application. In the event that a customer exists in multiple sales areas, you now have the ability to quickly maneuver between those sales areas.
  • A telephony integration feature allows you to integrate the usage of a SAPphone within the portal role. With this ability, you can easily get contact information about your customers and initiate phone calls with the click of a hyperlink. In addition, an ISR has the ability to quickly obtain information on a customer whose call they have received via their SAPphone.
  • Three additional queries have been added to facilitate work of the ISR:
  • Customer-related deliveries

  • Customer contact persons

  • Customer-related billing documents

  • The user interface has been greatly improved. Additional information has been provided at the customer header level, and data fields have been grouped more logically to suit the real life needs of an ISR.
