Short text
Foreign Trade: Additions to Export Control Area
Description
From Release 3.1G it is possible to create export licenses that are only valid for certain terms of payment, as well as certain business transactions. This can be done by entering the document number of an SD order in License Maintenance which will ensure that an export license or an US-IVL can only be used for a certain business transaction. You can control both options in Customizing when defining license types.
In the customer master in the Foreign Trade screen you can specify both customer use as well as the boycott list, i.e. whether the customer is known for mainly military or civil use. Parallel to this, an option in Customizing under 'Define license type' will allow you to specify license types that authorize exports to military customers.
Up until now it was the case that once the system export control was activated, by definition ALL master records were subject to control for legal regulations. Now you can use Customizing for Legal Regulations to define whether this should continue to be the case (default) or whether all material records subject to a certain legal regulation, should be explicitly marked in the material master. Thus, you can select the material record in the material master when maintaining export license data and define it as due for control based on legal regulations.
Effects on Customizing
Maintain whether export licences should be valid for specific terms of payment or business transactions in the section
If only specially marked material records are subject to legal regulations please maintain this in the section "Define legal regulations and assign by country".
