Short text
Sales: Rush Orders
Description
Sales and Delivery
In a rush order transaction, the customer picks up the goods immediately or you deliver them on the same day the order is placed. However, the customer pays for the goods later. When the order entry person creates the rush order, the system automatically proposes the current date as the delivery date. When the order is posted, the system automatically creates a delivery in the background.
Availability Check
During the availability check, the system reacts to the rush order as if it were a delivery. If there is insufficient stock on hand, the system displays the control screen for availability.
If the system confirms only part of the requested order quantity, the remaining quantity can be processed later as a backorder. During the availability check for a backorder, the system treats the delivery as if it were a standard order.
Billing
The rush order is later processed as a delivery-related billing transaction and is invoiced normally.
