FIN_ACC_GROUPCLOSE_2: Business Function Financials, Group Close, Compliance (New)

Use

Business function Financials, Group Close, Compliance is available as of SAP ERP 6.0, Enhancement Package 3 (SEM-BCS 6.03); it contains the functions described below.

Document Approval for Flexible Upload

You can start the document approval process using the flexible upload function as long as the update mode is No Modification or Overwrite and the input type is Periodic.

Web-Supported SEM-BCS Workflow Inbox

You can access the workflow inbox using a Web browser. This is an alternative to the inbox in SAP Business Workplace and to the central worklist in the Enterprise Portal.

Entering Comments

  • A new restriction applies to the entry of comments. During the approval process, you cannot update or change comments that have already been saved; you can only add new comments.
  • The comments function is activated for the approval process for status changes.

Sign-Off Task

The consolidation monitor now contains a new sign-off task. This starts an approval workflow in which the persons responsible have to check and sign off the attached financial results. The persons responsible for approval receive the approval request in their SAP inbox, by e-mail, or in the central worklist.

Effects on Existing Data

  • In the workbench, the old functions have been replaced by new XRBR functions that support Standard 2.1.
  • The Comment tab page appears on the Status Change with Workflow screen.

  • You can access the sign-off task in the workbench and add it to the task hierarchy.
  • You can activate the sign-off function using the workflow variant of category 4.
