Changes in SEM-CPM for Release 3.2

Use

General:

  • OCX-Technology is no longer supported in the SAP GUI version (SAP Graphical User Interface); the data is no longer displayed in graphics, rather in tables. Alternatively, you can use the web versions of the individual functions, which display the data graphically for you. (changed)
  • The documentation describes the differences between the GUI version and the Web version; the GUI version is the standard version.
  • You can define how numbers are to be displayed (for example, "1 Mio. EUR" rather than "1000000 EUR"). (new)

Balanced Scorecard Function:

  • Integration of R/3 project system in initiatives; you can now plan and control initiatives using the R/3 project system. (new)
  • You can also create strategic advices for initiatives, for example to assign an employee to an initiative. The employee can then accept or reject the assignment. (new)
  • The functions of the BSC Wizard, which you can use to create scorecards in your HTML browser, have been extended; You can now define Risk Management and maintain value fields. (new/changed)
  • The printing and program functions of the scorecard were extended. (new)
  • In the presentation view, you can assign any (URL or permanent) documents to a scorecard (Web version only). (new)
  • You can send assessments and comments by e-mail to any person responsible for a scorecard element (Web version only). (new)
  • There is a new form of scorecard analysis: Performance Management overview, which allows you to display graphical information about the measures of an objective (Web version only). (new)
  • You can download the data of existing scorecards from the BSC LaunchPad for offline analysis. (new)
  • A Wizard supports the graphical design of scorecards (GUI version). (changed)
  • You can define common initiatives, which you can use to compare scorecards that have diferent named initiatives (but to which you assigned the same commmon initiative)(Web version only). (new)
  • You can compare several scorecards (Web version only). (new)

Risk Management Function:

  • You can also use the BSC Wizard to design Risk Management. (new)
  • You can use the Risk Management monitor (integrated in the Balanced Scorecard Monitor) to update the aggregation values for risks (GUI version only). (new)
  • You can protect the data of a target system (= scorecard) for a specified period of time, and remove the write protection (GUI version only). (new)
  • You can assign BW data sources to risk value fields. (new)
  • You can use the delivered Business Content to extract the data from the risk value fields and the associated target values of the measures to the SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW). (new)

Value Driver Tree function:

  • You can define whether, and how, the status is to be set for every value driver. (new)
  • You can define whether assessments and comments can be entered for every value driver. (new)
  • You can expand and collapse parts of a value driver tree to simplify the display. (new)
