Change Request Management Changes in SAP Solution Manager 7.1

Use

With CRM 7.1, the Scenario Change Request Management is based on CRM 7.1 user interfaces (UI) functionality.

You can continue to use the functionality that is based on CRM 5.0. For all corresponding IMG activities, see SAP Note 1462584.

In addition to changes in regard to the CRM 7.1-based functionality, the logic for TMS for managed systems is changed.

Effects on Existing Data

Existing UI (interfaces, particularly transaction CRMD_ORDER) for Change Request Management of the change request (change documents remain unchanged) and Service Desk are replaced by new interfaces.

Effects on System Administration

Effects on Customizing

Adjustment of the UI requires additional Customizing activities:

  • Activation of additional services for CRM UI: Activate report SM_CRM_UI (using transaction SICF_INST)
  • Edit the corresponding IMG activities under the Change Request Management node:
  • Authorizations and Work Center Navigation

  • Define settings for change transaction types (new view cluster)

  • Define status properties (new view cluster)

  • Define mapping rules for copy control (new view cluster)

  • Adjustments to the individual IMG activities due to:

  • The new transaction types and actions

  • New PPF method APPROVE_SYSTEMS in place of SOCM_COPY_DOCUMENT

  • Authorization procedure

  • Editing the project field and scope in the change request depending on the status

Adjusting TMS for managed systems requires changed Customizing activities. See the IMG activities under the Transport Management node.
