Integration Supplier Relationship Management - Enterprise Portal

Use

From Release 2.0, the components of the SAP Markets solution Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) have a complete connection to the Enterprise Portal (EP).
This means that in the SRM 2.0 delivery package there are besides Enterprise Portal 5.0 (GA) also PCD Objects ( Portal Content Directory ) such as roles, worksets etc., that enable the Portal integration of all SRM components.
The SRM user has, via EP, role-specific access to the relevant/permitted SRM applications. These can be called up and run qui ckly and easily via a uniform platform. This way the SRM roles -the Portal Roles - offer the user a single point of entry for all the transactions and services he may require from the various SRM applications.

Roles in the Portal and Integrated Components:

SRM Roles   SRM Components
SRM Employee   EBP, UM
SRM Manager   EBP, BW, UM
SRM Purchasing Assistant   EBP, BW, UM
SRM Operational Purchaser   EBP, BW, DA/DB, UM
SRM Strategic Purchaser   C-ROOM, DA/DB, BW, EBP
SRM Content Manager   EBP, UM
SRM Component Planner   EBP, BW, UM
SRM Recipient   EBP, BW, UM
SRM Accountant   EBP, BW, UM
SRM Administrator   EBP, BW, DA/DB, SUS, C-ROOM, UM
SRM Bidder   DA/DB, C-ROOM
SRM Supplier   SUS
SRM Auctioning and Bidding Reviewer   DA/DB
SRM Collaboration Participant   C-ROOM
SRM Collaboration Initiator   C-ROOM

(EBP = Enterprise Buyer, UM = SAPM User Management, BW = Business Information Warehouse, DA/DB = Dynamic Auction and Dynamic Bidding, C-ROOM = Collaborative Room, SUS = Supplier Self-Services)

EBP Services are embedded as IACs in iViews. This way each service is represented by a separate iView.
In contrast, the C-ROOM application, as a Java-based component, is completely represented by an individual iView.

The access data is stored centrally in the Corporate LDAP Directory just as other user data. The role information and the user-role assignments are held in the Portal LDAP directory.
Both directory services can be supplied by SAP Markets User Management.
The authorization information is stored in the relevant SRM applications.
Due to the use of the SAP Logon Ticket Single Sign-On is also available.

SAP Markets User Management (SAPM UM)

Since the user administration is not supported by SAP Portals User Management and only the role administration and role assignment are supported by SAP Portals Tools, we recommend the use of SAPM UM (included in the SRM delivery). SAPM UM has the following advantages:

  • Portal-integrated user administration (including self-registration and administration)
  • Portal-integrated role administration and assignment (stored in SAPM UM and automatically synchronized with the Portal LDAP)
  • Synchronization of user data and role assignment for various SAP Systems via XML
  • Writing and synchronization of the user data into the Corporate LDAP Directory
