Enhancements to SAP SRM Requisition (New)
Use
As of SAP Supplier Relationship Management 7.0 (SAP SRM 7.0), Procurement for Public Sector (PPS), you can create purchase requisitions that are integrated with Funds Management so that a financial commitment is automatically created with the release of a shopping cart. The new purchase requisitions also accommodate various public sector pricing functions, for example, hierarchical line item structures, pricing arrangements, incremental funding, and options.
Purchase requisitions now access functions in the SAP ERP backend system including, for example, the source list, material master, vendor master, funds available, and commitments. Purchase requisitions display information from these sources at both header and item level. At header level, the purchase requisitions display, for example, material and material group information. At item level, the purchase requisitions display information such as delivery date, request date, and quantity. Also, goods receipt and invoice receipt indicators are displayed at item level.
Also, you can search for open RFxs or purchase orders where the new requirement or shopping cart items could be added, and you can then update the existing document using versioning. In sourcing, you are now able to add items from a shopping cart to an existing RFx or purchase order, adding flexibility to the procurement process as well as reducing costs. The search function also allows you to take advantage of supplier price conditions such as volume pricing.
