RFx Response Evaluation Using Short Lists (New)

Use

As of SAP Supplier Relationship Management 7.0 (SAP SRM 7.0), Procurement for Public Sector (PPS), you can use short listing of eligible suppliers when evaluating RFx responses as part of the two-envelope RFx response process.

When processing two-envelope RFx responses, the technical RFx response is placed in a cFolder accessible for review by a technical evaluation panel of a tender committee. The technical evaluation panel evaluates technical RFx responses submitted by suppliers. If a technical RFx response meets the technical criteria published as part of the RFx, then the RFx respondent is placed on a short list of eligible suppliers. Afterwards, the price information submitted by the RFx respondents on the short list is opened for review by the price evaluation panel. If a technical RFx response is rejected, then the supplier is rejected and the price response is not evaluated. This process ensures that the evaluation of the technical RFx response is not influenced by knowledge of the price information.

Members of the technical evaluation panel can enter evaluation comments as part of a collaborative evaluation process within cFolders. You can review tender committee short list comments, print and download comments, as well as manually accept or reject RFx responses based on the short list evaluation. You can also provide a reason for the acceptance or rejection of technical RFx responses and notify an RFx respondent of the acceptance or rejection of a technical RFx response.
