SRM_SOURCING_1: Multi-Party Verification at RFx Response Opening (New)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP Supplier Relationship Management 7.0 (SAP SRM 7.0), you can use multi-party verification to prevent fraud and ensure the integrity of the RFx response evaluation process. Multi-party verification is also known as four-eye verification. Multi-party verification means that RFx responses can only be accessed by authorized users at a defined opening date and time. For example, your workflow may require that a price RFx response can only be opened after successful evaluation of a technical RFx response.
Multi-party verification uses simultaneous logon sessions to ensure that RFx responses can only be opened when a purchaser and the bidder, or two or more purchasers from your organization are logged on to the system simultaneously. You define storage locations for technical RFx responses and then restrict access to the locations until the opening date and time.
Note:
Multi-party verification was previously available in the Public Sourcing and Tendering scenario of Procurement for Public Sector and had to be activated using the business function SAP SRM Procurement for Public Sector Functions (/SAPPSSRM/SRM_PPS). This no longer applies. Instead, you must activate the business function SRM, Strategic Sourcing Innovations (SRM_SOURCING_1).
Effects on Existing Data
Effects on Data Transfer
Messages containing a link to the technical and price RFx response storage locations can be sent to authorized users to notify them that they can access the RFx responses after multi-party verification using simultaneous logon has been completed.
Effects on System Administration
Effects on Customizing
The following activities are relevant in Customizing for SAP Supplier Relationship Management:
- You activate or deactivate simultaneous logon under SRM Server → RFx → Extended RFx Process → Simultaneous Logon → Activate/Deactivate Simultaneous Logon at RFx Response Opening.
- You define whether you want to use the simultaneous logon function for a transaction type. You do this under SRM Server → RFx → Extended RFx Process → Define Tendering Options → Define Tendering Options.
- You define the duration of the simultaneous logon session, and configure e-mail notifications for participants in the evaluation process. You do this under SRM Server → RFx → Extended RFx Process → Simultaneous Logon → Define Basic Data for Simultaneous Logon.
You can implement the following BAdIs:
- SRM Server → Business Add-Ins → RFx → Extended RFx Process → Simultaneous Logon → Enhance Simultaneous Logon
- SRM Server → Business Add-Ins → RFx → Extended RFx Process → E-Mail Notification → Enhance E-Mail Content
- You can use this BAdI to enhance the content of e-mail notifications sent on technical RFx response opening and prequalification questionnaire acceptance/rejection.
