Tendering Functions in Procurement for Public Sector (Changed)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP Supplier Relationship Management 7.0 (SAP SRM 7.0), several functions of the Public Sourcing and Tendering business scenario are no longer restricted for use by Procurement for Public Sector (PPS) customers but are also available to customers using SAP SRM Core. The following functions are affected:

• Tender Fee Processing

• Earnest Money Deposit Handling
  For more information, see the release note SRM_SOURCING_1: Earnest Money Deposit Handling (New).

• Two-Envelope RFx Response
  For more information, see the release note SRM_SOURCING_1: Two-Envelope RFx Response (New).

• Multi-Party Verification at RFx Response Opening
  For more information, see the release note SRM_SOURCING_1: Multi-Party Verification at RFx Response Opening (New).

The prerequisites for using the above functions have changed as follows:

• You do not have to activate the business function SAP SRM Procurement for Public Sector Functions (/SAPPSSRM/SRM_PPS). If you have previously activated it, you must keep it activated.

• You mustactivate the business function SRM, Strategic Sourcing Innovations(SRM_SOURCING_1).

• You mustactivate the following Customizing switches in Customizing for SAP Supplier Relationship Management under SRM Server → RFx → Extended RFx Process:

• Tender Fee,,,,,,,,,,,,,,(SRM_701_TENDER_FEE)
  You do this under Tender Fee and Earnest Money Deposit → Activate/Deactivate Tender Fee.

• Earnest Money Deposit,,,,,,,,,,(SRM_701_EARNEST_MONEY_DEP)
  You do this under Tender Fee and Earnest Money Deposit → Activate/Deactivate Earnest Money Deposit.

• Two-Envelope RFx Response,,,,,,,,(SRM_701_TWO_ENVELOPE)
  You do this under Two-Envelope RFx Response → Activate/Deactivate Two-Envelope RFx Response.

• Simultaneous Logon at RFx Response Opening,,(SRM_701_SIMULTANEOUS LOGON)
  You do this under Simultaneous Logon → Activate/Deactivate Simultaneous Logon at RFx Response Openingg.

The Customizing activities (formerly called Implementation Guide or IMG activities) and the Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) of the above listed functions have been moved from the PPS area of Customizing to the SRM Server area. They are now available as follows:

• The Customizing activities are available under SRM Server → RFx → Extended RFx Process.

• The Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) are available under SRM Server → Business Add-Ins → RFx → Extended RFx Process.
