SRM_CATALOG_1: Business Function SRM, Catalog Innovations

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP Supplier Relationship Management 7.0 (SAP SRM 7.0), the business function SRM, Catalog Innovationsis available. It offers higher flexibility and improved usability to users working with the SRM Catalog.

To use SRM, Catalog Innovations,you must activate the business function in Customizing for SAP Supplier Relationship Management under SRM Server → Activate Business Functions.

If you want to upload contract data from SAP SRM using FTP function modules instead of SAP NetWeaver PI runtime settings, you must also activate the Customizing switch Catalog Integration Using ABAP FTP (SRM_701_CAT_FTP_INTEGRATION) in Customizing for SAP Supplier Relationship Management under Cross-Application Basic Settings → Integration with other SAP Components → Catalog Integration → Activate/Deactivate Catalog Integration Using ABAP FTP.

To activate the other functions for SRM, Catalog Innovations, you must start the Customizing switch application that exists in the SRM Catalog system and activate the relevant Customizing switches there.

To log on to the Customizing switch application in the SRM Catalog system, you must have a role on the J2EE server to which the Catalog Configuration Action has been assigned. You can use the user management engine (UME) to make the assignment.

To call up the Customizing switch application, enter the following URL in your Web browser:

Activate the Customizing switches listed below. Caution:These Customizing switches are notrevertible.

  • Service Procurement Enhancements for SRM-MDM Catalog (CAT_701_CTR_UPLOAD)
    As a prerequisite, you must have activated the business function SRM, Service Procurement Innovations (SRM_SERVICE_PROC_1) in the SAP SRM system.
  • SRM-MDM Catalog UI Redesign (CAT_701_UI_IMP)
