Migration of SAP SRM Extensions, Including Procurement for Public Sector
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 2 for SAP Supplier Relationship Management 7.0 (SAP SRM 7.0), the Procurement for Public Sector (PPS) and cross-industry functions have been moved from the old enhancement framework to the SAP SRM soft switch framework and grouped into two distinct business functions that must be activated together.
The technical framework has been simplified as follows:
- Most enhancement implementations have been removed and have been either replaced by direct calls in the source code or integrated directly into the technical UI objects.
- All business configuration sets (BC sets) have been removed.
This simplification allows for easier error analysis, especially when debugging. In addition, user interface changes are easier to implement.
