Project Administration (enhanced)

Use

From Release 3.1, there is a project overview with an HTML interface, with which you can see the most important project information, and you can also use the following new functions in the SAP Solution Manager Implementation Project Administration:

• Specify extended information about the project management and the roles of the project team members

• Create project description

• Define milestones and their plan data

• Define and assign system roles.

In template projects, you can release, version and archive templates for general use in the system. You can also use the following new project types:

Optimization projects

A project which optimizes the flow of business processes or the use of a software solution from a cost perspective.

You can use optimization projects to use Solution Management Optimization Services in the SAP Solution Manager Operations.

Deescalation projects

A project for resolving a critical condition in the implementation or live processing of a software solution.

Deescalation projects find the reasons for a critical condition, and coordinate the steps required to resolve the problems. They are usually used when there are several causes and a lot of activities to coordinate and monitor.
