Solution Directory and migration of solutions to Release 3.20 (new)

Use

From Release 3.20, the Solution Directory is the central repository for projects, processes and solutions in the SAP Solution Manager. It is an interface between the configuration of your projects and your solutions. From Release 3.20, you copy processes which you have created in projects, into your solutions, via the Solution Directory. It replaces the Project Copy Assistant.

You migrate solutions which you created in an earlier release, into Release 3.20, with the Solution Directory.

With the Solution Directory, you can:

• assign system components, business processes and process steps to a solution for solution monitoring

• create business processes and process steps for process monitoring

• create hardware graphics and process graphics for solution monitoring

• add to project information, e.g. test cases and documentation

Effects on Existing Data

If you have created solutions in an earlier release, you can go from the Solution Managers Operations (transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER) solution overview, directly into the Solution Directory, to migrate your solutions into Release 3.20. An icon in the solution overview shows whether a solution needs to be migrated.
