Monitor JAVA applications via external CCMS (new)

Use

From Release 3.20, you can connect an external Computer Center Management System (CCMS) to the SAP Solution Manager, to monitor JAVA applications. The SAP Solution Manager reads the alerts which are sent from the JAVA applications to the external CCMS, by RFC connection. You can monitor all systems in your system landscape centrally in the SAP Solution Manager.

Effects on Existing Data

With this new function, you can also connect an SAP Solution Manager to an existing system landscape which you are already monitoring with a central CCMS. You should connect new systems to the SAP Solution Manager, and monitor your systems centrally with the SAP Solution Manager.

The external CCMS requires Release 6.40 with Support Package 3 and ST PI 2005_1_640 or higher.

The systems which are connected to the external CCMS require ST PI 2005_1_640 or higher.
