LOG_EAM_TOHO_2: Business Function Takeover/Handover Improvements (New)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, (EA-APPL 605), business function Takeover/Handover Improvements(LOG_EAM_TOHO_2), the following new functions are available:

• Update of Non-BOM Header Equipment

• Improvements for Material Number Update

• Long Material Numbers

• Additional Customer Checks

• Improvements in Status Management

• Improvements for Measuring Points

• Multiple Serial Numbers

• Improvements in BAPI Message Handling

• Enhanced functions for expanding/collapsing the technical object hierarchy

You can now expand and collapse the hierarchy either by one level at a time or completely. Note, that you may encounter performance problems if the hierarchy contains a large number of objects.

• Possibility to select the maintenance plans to be copied when using copy references to create maintenance plans. On the Create Maintenance Plan tab page, when you choose Createa popup appears where you can select the maintenance plans you want to copy. Previously, all the maintenance plans for a copy reference object were copied.

• Restart of maintenance plans

Previously you could only activate, deactivate, and schedule maintenance plans. You can now also restart them. There is additional button Restart MP on the Schedule MPtab page.

• Enablement of unique item identifiers (UII) to uniquely identify technical objects through integration of IUID.

• New program 'RIDELPHIN' for reorganizing of application data (relevant for system administrators). You can reorganize the data created:

• During takeover in table PHINH ,PHINT and PHIN_MSG.

• During handover in table PHINH

• Data inheritance

During technical object creation, particular fields of the technical object are filled by one of the following, depending on the data origin flag:

• Parent object

• Copy reference object

• Individual (field to be filled manually)
