Short text
Short keys for certain date and amount fields in the Loans module
Description
From Release 4.5A, you can fill the following fields in the Loans module with short keys, which are then converted into amounts or dates by the system:
Contract -> Basic Data I -> Capital applied for
-> Conditions -> Commitment capital
-> Fixed from
-> Fixed until
-> Term end
-> Term start
Borrower's note -> Basic data -> Commitment capital
loan order -> Interest date
-> Calculation date
-> Term start
-> Term end
-> Fixed until
-> Order data -> Order date
-> Payment date
-> Calculation date
-> Nominal amount
The system converts relative or abbreviated date entries into the corresponding date. In addition to the standard conversions for date entries, the following abbreviated forms are supported:
- Relative date entries
- +n for n days after the start date
- -n for n days before the start date
- ++n for n months after the start date
- --n for n months before the start date
- +++n for n years after the start date
- ---n for n years before the start date
- 0 for the start date
- Abbreviated date entries
If the date format defined in the user master record begins with the day, conversion of the following abbreviated entries is supported:
- 17 for the next 17th of the month
- 1709 for the next 17th of September
The system interprets abbreviations for one million and one thousand and converts strings of digits into the corresponding amounts.
You can use the default abbreviations T (thousand) and M (million) without making any extra Customizing settings.
Effects on Customizing
You can define the abbreviations for each user in the IMG under: 'Treasury Management' -> 'Basic Functions' -> 'Organization' ->'Define user data'.
