Enhanced Customizing for Loan Subnumber
Scope of Functions
This enhancement applies if you use number composition to assign loan numbers and use the subnumber as a number component, in other words, if a component uses one of the following generation types:
- 3: N = N +1 (start value 1)
- X: N = N +1 (start value 0).
Existing Functions:
The master number is used in the file number and/or the finance project number. When the system determines the subnumber, it considers all the contracts that already have the same file number and/or finance project number.
If contracts with different product types have the same file number and/or finance project number, they are also taken into account. This allows you to assign numbers with the same number composition for different product types.
New Functions:
A new indicator"Only determine subnumber within the product type" (PT) has been added in Customizing. If you set this indicator, you can prevent the system from determining the subnumber across all product types. You activate the indicator in the row for the sequential number.
If you do not set the indicator, the system determines the subnumber across all product types, assuming that the number component for the sequential number has been defined in the same way for the other product types. Product types are not considered in the following cases:
- The sequential number has been defined differently
- No sequential number has been defined
- The new indicator has been set to active
Effects on Customizing
You adapt the settings in Customizing for Loans by choosing Assign Number Components to Product Type.
Also refer to Note 121304. You no longer need to follow the procedure described in this note for making adjustments to prevent the subnumber being assigned across all product types. Instead, use the new indicator in Customizing.
