New interpretation of term 'scenario'

Description

The use of the term 'scenario' has changed for net present value evaluations in Market Risk Management. Until now, a scenario was an isolated 'world' comprising simulated market data. Scenario evaluations were based on scenario market data. From now on, a scenario is only a set of selected, simulated market data within the 'world' of current market data.

As far as scenario evaluations are concerned, this means that when the system finds no market data within the specified scenario, it uses current market data for the valuation. Current market data is understood to mean data with the most uptodate status in the R/3 market data tables or, depending on how your system is set up, the most uptodate data supplied by datafeed.
