FIN_TRM_LR_FI_AN: Valuate Embedded Subscription and Exercise Rights (New)

Use

As of SAP Enhancement Package 3 for ERP 6.0(EA-FINSERV 603), Business Function TRM: Hedge Accounting, New Instruments, New Key Figures evaluations of the Market Risk Analyzer (MRA), the Portfolio Analyzer (PA) and the Asset-Liability-Management (ALM) components of the SAP Treasury and Risk Managementwill take into account embedded exercise rights and subscription rights contained in:

  • Security Account Class Positions
  • Positions
  • Security Transactions
  • Security Orders
  • Class supplements

Directly given embedded exercise rights of bonds (product category "040 = bond") and subscription rights (product category "030 = Subscription right) in MRA, PA and ALM will be handled correctly.

A bonds embedded exercise right consisting of more than one exercise period will be represented by a Bermudian option. The Bermudian option is built up by one exercise opportunity per notice period, or notice date. The option style (European, American) of each exercise opportunity of the Bermudian option depends on the periods entered in the Transaction Manager. A "period" of just one day corresponds to European style.

This function offers the following benefits:

  • Theoretical calculation of the NPV for subscription rights can now be carried out.
  • Embedded rights of a bond are now treated in the theoretical calculation of the net present value and of ALM key figures.
  • It is now possible to create a class supplement with Bermudian style.
